I really have enjoyed my new mini hall tree it works perfect for the kids to throw their shoes in the bench and Hang their coats by front door. Also great for the dog leash for the kids to find easily when the puppy needs to go out. GREat product, just want I expected.

This item was on my wishlist to give my family an idea of what I would like for Christmas. I had read the other review and thought my husband loves putting stuff together. I’m sure it’s not that bad. I was wrong. He complained the entire time he was assembling it. He had to recut-redrill many pieces. In the process of shoving parts together, a corner of the arm rest flaked off and now needs to be repainted. I wish my husband would not have been so eager to put this together. It was dirty upon arrival. It also was not the size I expected. I should have read the dimensions closer and just told family members what I was hoping for. It is short and skinny. I suppose it would fit well at the end of a hallway, but it looks pathetic in a large entry way.

This furniture took quite awhile to arrive, and when it did the first thing we noticed was that each piece was absolutely filthy. Everything had to be wiped down before we even started assembly. The next thing we noticed (about 45 minutes into assembling it) was that 2 pieces were defective. Several holes would not align properly with the dowels no matter how hard we tried. This made assembly impossible. (We have recently assembled LOTS of furniture so it was definitely a manufacturer defect and not our inability to follow instructions). We called customer service and they were very nice and offered to send us replacement parts. About 2 weeks later we received these parts. These parts were properly drilled. Guess what? The next step which we were not able to get to because of the previous defective parts revealed MORE defective pieces. The holes were just not drilled properly. Thoroughly frustrated, we just decided to remove some dowels and widen some of the holes with a drill. We were finally able to get this furniture assembled, but it is obvious that whomever is pre-drilling the holes in the factory is sometimes drilling them 1/8 of an inch off center. Be prepared for a lot of frustration if you buy this furniture.
